Videos

The following videos were taken during a luau on Jan. 3, 2008 at the Maui Marriot. These videos were taken via Matt's Treo, and for reasons we haven't quite figured out, are in the 3GPP2 format, which is supposedly the next new thing in mobile device multimedia playback. To view these videos, the recent version of Apple Quicktime player is required.

• Luau Dancer (6.5 mb). Matt picked the right moment to test out the video recording features of the Treo on this trip as a luau dancer took up a side stage several feet in front of us.
• Fire Tamer(9.7 mb). This was the encore presentation from a fire tamer who had previously thrown fire around on stage for about 7 minutes. The video hardly does the actual presentation justice, but the video gives a glimpse of the show. During the show, it was announced that the tamer was the three-time world champion in fire artistry (or something like that).
